Overlooking Dorset's Lyme Bay and the Jurassic Coast, Shire House Care Home underwent considerable refurbishment during 2009. It retains all the original character of an Edwardian building with picturesque gardens and our residents are able to enjoy spacious accommodation with modern facilities.

Shire House provides permanent, respite, intermediate and day care for ladies and gentlemen over the age of 65. We are registered with The Care Quality Commission and provide accommodation and personal residential care for up to 22 people.

At Shire House we strive to provide a homely, safe and caring environment for older people, respecting their right to choose their own lifestyle and actively supporting them to realise their aspirations. This is achieved by offering residents independence, privacy, companionship, comfort and care.
